As you can imagine. Rusthoven can sometimes be hard to say for a new friend or harder to spell for a new teacher or coach, so Trey often said “I am Trey R” to new people or often just used his initials growing up. As Trey got older he also began to identify with athletes and their jersey numbers, with Trey continuing to be drawn to the number 21 and he has made that his number.
Trey realized as he got older that some of the best players to wear 21 on their jersey have helped make it one of the most beloved numbers in sports.
Some top NBA players with number 21 on their jerseys include basketball legends like Tim Duncan, Dominique Wilkins and Kevin Garnett. Deion Sanders even showed that one of the few successful and beloved two-sport professional athletes could find success with the number in the NFL and MLB. Historic baseball players with number 21 jerseys include stars Roger Clemens, Roberto Clemente, and Sammy Sosa. Football and hockey players also found success with the jersey number 21 as their choice.

Now you may say, how can he still do that given golf does not have any jerseys or jersey numbers? Trey has continued the tadition with his golf, playing with his special 21 on his competition golf balls.

SHARK SIGHTING…… Swim at Your Own Risk!

That Trey has a long standing Tradition with his driver head cover as well. Trey has kept his Shark head cover in his bag for well over 10 years now and it does not look as he will part with that any time soon. Trey has always loved sharks and got his inspiration from Finding Nemo and matter-a-fact, has named the Shark Cover – Bruce and currently has Bruce the VI in his bag.
Trey has always said that when he is playing well, it is as if his eyes roll back and his natural instincts come out.
If you rember…. Marlin let go by accident and the mask hits Dory on the face, causing some blood to spill into the water. Bruce, having just watched all of this, begins to ask Dory if she’s okay, but is cut off when he smells her blood.
As Bruce’s natural instincts kick in, his eyes go from a bright blue to a pitch-black color, and just as he is about to eat his two fish friends, he is pinned to the wall by Anchor and Chum (who quickly decided to intervene and save Marlin and Dory).
Finally, Bruce gets free from Anchor and Chum and charges after Marlin and Dory, shouting that he’s having fish tonight!
